HOAX BOMB THREAT CALL TO RAJINIKANTH’S HOME | 19 June, 2020

A team of the Madras police and bomb detection and disposal squad on 18th June reached Rajinikanth’s home on receiving a bomb threat call. The superstar and his family, however, did not allow the officers inside. The call later turned out to be a hoax. The police are on the hunt for the caller.

Around 10.30 a.m. on 18th, the staff manning the ambulance control centre in Madras received a telephone call from a man who claimed that bombs had been planted at Rajinikanth’s residence and were set to go off. Police and the bomb squad rushed to the actor’s home but were denied entry by the family as the family hadn’t received any threat call. After a lot of coaxing, one security guard was allowed entry into the home. But the police later declared the call a hoax.
