RAJASTHAN FILM TRADE SEEKS CONCESSIONS FROM GOVERNMENT | 12 July, 2020

The Rajasthan trade recently submitted a memorandum to the chief minister, seeking reliefs and concessions to cinemas to help them tide over the losses they have suffered and are suffering due to the coronavirus lockdown. All cinemas across the country are shut from mid-March and it is not known when they will reopen.

Satyawan Pareek, chairman of the coordination committee of the Central Circuit Cine Association, has sought waiver of the monthly fixed electricity charges levied on cinemas during the lockdown period, late payment fees and penalty. He also asked that municipal taxes levied by the municipal corporations be not charged for the lockdown months.
