TELANGANA NO TO REOPENING OF CINEMAS | 17 May, 2020

Even as the exhibition sector awaits government orders to lift the all-India lockdown and reopen cinemas, the Telangana cinematography minister, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, has said that the public is not in a mood to rush to the cinemas just as yet, and that there should be several changes done to cinemas to follow social distancing. According to him, it would take two to three months for cinemas in the state to be thrown open to the public. The minister also said, it would be risky to start film shootings now. The government asked the producers to wait for the right time. The state government is likely to accede to the request of producers to permit post-production work of films.
