MAHARASHTRA CM MEETS DELEGATION OF TV PRODUCERS, BROADCASTERS ONLINE | 25 May, 2020

Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray met a group of broadcasters and television producers virtually on 22nd May. They discussed the resumption of television shooting as, according to producer-actor J.D. Majethia, chairman of the TV division of the Indian Film and Television Producers Council, there had been loss of jobs for many and fatigue had set in with re-runs on television. Thackeray said, he was concerned about the red zones in the city and made it clear that shootings could not take place close to residential areas. The delegation made it clear that all social distancing norms would be followed and all government advisories, adhered to.

The chief minister was sympathetic towards the demands of the delegation for starting shootings and was keen that producers did not go out of the state to commence shooting.
