After her bitter parting of ways with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Deepika Padukone has lost out on one more South film — the upcoming sequel of Kalki 2898 AD. A tweet by Vyjayanthi Movies, producers of Kalki 2898 AD, mentions that the actress will not be a part of the sequel.
Deepika had played a pivotal role in the very successful first part and it was assumed that she would also be a part of the second part. But the tweet reads: “This is to officially announce that @deepikapadukone will not be a part of the upcoming sequel of #Kalki2898AD. After careful consideration, we have decided to part ways. Despite the long journey of making the first film, we were unable to find a partnership. And a film like @Kalki2898AD deserves that commitment and much more. We wish her the best with her future works.”
Not too far back, Deepika had decided to part ways with Sandeep Reddy Vanga in his Spirit, stating creative differences. At that time, the super-successful director had lashed out at the actress and her team for revealing the story of the film.
