DJ Aqeel, who has been associated with the music of some films, and his wife, Farah Khan Ali, who is the daughter of actor-producer-director Sanjay Khan and sister of Zayed Khan and Sussanne Khan, announced their separation with a statement by Farah on Instagram recently. She said, the two continue to be very good friends. Farah and Aqeel got married in 1999 and are parents to two children.
