The Mulund (Bombay) police have registered a case of forgery, cheating and criminal conspiracy against Akshay Bardapurkar, founder of OTT platform Planet Marathi, and three others. The FIR was registered on the directions of the Bombay high court on a petition filed by producer Soumya Vilekar who alleged that Bardapurkar and his associates fabricated a deed of reconstitution of partnership dated October 3, 2023, bearing her signature and photograph, and secured huge loans from banks.
Following the HC order, the Mulund police booked Bardapurkar, Manali Dixit, Dhaval Jaysukhlal Shah and public notary Dodha Daulat Ahire.
