The Punjab and Haryana high court on February 4 granted actress Munmun Dutta anticipatory bail in a case of making offensive remarks against scheduled castes on social media. Munmun had approached the high court after a court in Hisar had dismissed her plea for anticipatory bail.
The high court directed Dutta to join investigations within a week. It clarified that in the event of her arrest, she would be released on bail, subject to her furnishing adequate bail bonds to the satisfaction of the investigating officer.
