PVR-Inox plans to shut down around 50 cinemas over the next six months. These are either loss-making properties or those housed in malls which have reached the end of their life cycle with barely any hopes of revival.
Meanwhile, PVR-Inox reported a net consolidated loss of Rs. 334 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2023. Its loss for the year ended March 31, 2023 was Rs. 336 crore.
