‘YEH HAI MERA WATAN’ REVIEW | 5 September, 2025

Released last week in Bombay, Gujarat and U.P. to weak houses, Motion Pictures and GA Arts’ Yeh Hai Mera Watan (UA) is the story of two men whose lives are torn apart by the false promises of terrorism. One man is blinded by a lethal ideology while the other pursues terrorism due to desperation. The consequences for both are devastating.

Mushtaq Pasha’s story and screenplay are not at all engaging. The drama simply doesn’t entertain. Even his dialogues are weak.

Mushtaq Pasha’s acting is dull. Yashpal Sharma does a fair job. Mridula Mahajan is ordinary. Pramod Moutho passes muster. Ather Habib provides weak support.

Mushtaq Pasha’s direction is not at all up to the mark. Amjad Bagadwa’s background music is not effective. Camerawork (by Naseem Ahmad) should’ve been better. Bunty Sainee’s editing is loose.

On the whole, Yeh Hai Mera Watan is a flop show.
