The National Film Awards for 2023, announced on August 1, have brought happy tidings for one studio more than anyone or any other studio. Zee Studios has reason to celebrate because six films with which it was associated have been recipients of the National Awards for 2023. The films are:
12th Fail, distributed by Zee Studios, bagged the award for the best feature film. It also fetched the award for the best actor for Vikrant Massey. Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway, produced by Zee Studios and Nikhil Advani, brought the award for the best actress for Rani Mukerji. Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, a Zee5 original, won the award for the best dialogues for Deepak Kingrani. Besides the aforementioned three Hindi films, three regional language films of Zee also bagged National Awards: Marathi Aatmapamphlet, produced by Zee Studios, T-Series and Colour Yellow Productions, got the award for the best debut film of a director (Ashish Avinash Bende). Marathi film Naal 2, produced by Zee Studios and Aatpat Productions, won the award for the best children’s film. Godday Godday Chaa, produced by Zee Studios, bagged the award for the best Punjabi film.
