On the occasion of World Music Day today (June 21), the Music Composers Association of India (MCAI) and the Screenwriters’ Association (SWA) have collaborated and jointly released a musical presentation, ‘Sur’ — a song dedicated to composers and lyricists. The song is composed by Indrajit ‘Tubby’ Sharma and Vipin Mishra Project, and written by Raj Shekhar, Vipin Mishra and Indrajit ‘Tubby’ Sharma.
‘Sur’ features composers Shankar Mahadevan, Loy, Vishal Bhardwaj, Anu Malik, Sneha Khanwalkar and Neeraj Shridhar, lyricists Irshad Kamil, Siddharth-Garima and Mayur Puri., and two musicians — Grammy Award-winning flautist Rakesh Chaurasia and renowned tabla virtuoso Ojas Adhiya.
‘Sur’ is a tribute to where a song takes birth — when the music director and song writer collaborate.
