President Ram Nath Kovind handed over the Padma Awards for 2020, on November 8 in Delhi. Among those from the film industry, who were honoured with the Awards were producer-director Karan Johar, producer Ekta Kapoor, actresses Kangana Ranaut and Sarita Joshi, and singers Suresh Wadkar and Adnan Sami. All of them bagged the Padma Shri.
The Awards were announced on the eve of Republic Day last year. The presentation ceremony was delayed due to the COVID-19 lockdown.
