Veteran actress Tanuja underwent surgery on 30th May for diverticulitis at Lilavati Hospital in Bombay. She was hospitalised on 29th May after being diagnosed with diverticulitis which is the inflammation or infection of small pouches (called diverticula) along the walls of the intestines. Tanuja’s daughter, Kajol, had a be reavement in her matrimonial home two days earlier when her father-in-law, well-known action director Veeru Devgan, passed away in Bombay. His prayer meeting was held on 30th.
