Punjabi film actor Jaswinder Bhalla passed away this morning (22nd August) at Fortis Hospital, Mohali in Punjab. He was 65. He will be cremated at the Balongi crematorium tomorrow (23rd) at 12 noon.
Jaswinder was known for his comedy roles as he had a fantastic sense of timing. Among the Punjabi films he was seen in are Carry On Jatta, Jatt Airways, Jatt & Juliet 2, Sardaar Ji, Mahaul Theek Hai and Naukar Wohti Da. His role as Advocate Dhillon in the three Carry On Jatta films brought him immense fame, adulation and love of the public. He used to use comical catchphrases for his characters which used to become very popular. He was last seen in Shinda Shinda No Papa (2024).
Jaswinder’s son, Pukhraj Bhalla, is also an actor. The father-son duo was seen together in Stupid 7 (2013).
