AMB Cinemas opened in Bangalore on 16th January in Kapali Mall. The multiplex is fitted with Barco laser projection in eight of the nine auditoria. One screen is South India’s first Dolby Cinema with dual projection, powered by the Christie 6K Dolby Vision projector. Dolby Cinema had launched its first cinema five months ago in Pune.
The Bangalore property has an MLounge.
The multiplex has come up in place of the old Kapali Theatre. The single-screen cinema was closed in 2017 and was replaced by a multiplex.
AMB Cinemas is jointly owned by Asian Group and Telugu films’ superstar Mahesh Babu.
