Vishwa Hindu Parishad on February 6 objected to the title of Netflix’s upcoming film, Ghooskhor Pandat, calling it offensive and an attack on a “most respectable segment” of the society. It demanded government action against Netflix.
The government had asked the OTT platform to remove the teaser and other promotional content of the film from social media. But it is learnt that Netflix itself took down the film’s teaser and other promotional content.
According to VHP national spokesman Vinod Bansal, the title was “totally unacceptable”. He alleged that it could spread hatred and unrest.
