The Bombay high court on April 8 passed an interim order restraining Santosh Kumar from repeating his allegation that filmmaker Aditya Dhar had stolen the script of Dhurandhar from him. Dhar moved the court, claiming that Kumar’s allegations were defamatory and damaged his reputation.
While passing an interim order, Justice Arif Doctor noted that Dhar made a prima facie case for the grant of such relief.
“Until the next date, the defendant (Santosh Kumar) shall be restrained from repeating words and remarks set out in the suit and all other allegations of a similar nature,” the HC said. As per the suit, Santosh Kumar made the allegations after release of Dhurandhar: The Revenge (2026), sequel to Dhurandhar (2025), accusing Aditya Dhar of copying his registered script titled ‘D Saheb’.
