GLITCH-FREE RELEASE FOR ‘HAI JAWANI…’ TODAY: VASHU BHAGNANI’S ATTEMPTS TO DERAIL RELEASE FAIL | 5 June, 2026

Tips Films’ Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai released today (June 5) all over the world as Vashu Bhagnani’s plea to the Bombay high court to stay its release was dismissed on June 3. Refusing to pass any interim order for stay of release, the HC kept the matter for further hearing on June 9. In the same case, Vashu Bhagnani also claimed damages of Rs. 400 crore.

The dispute between Tips Films and Vashu Bhagnani stems from the use of Chunari chunari and Ishq sona hai songs from the lattet’s Biwi No. 1 in the film released today. Vashu had got a status quo order in April from a court in Madhepura (Bihar). Tips Films tried to get the status quo order stayed by the Patna high court but when the HC did not grant it immediate relief (as it posted the matter at a later date), Tips Films approached the Supreme Court. The apex court forthwith stayed the status quo order of the Madhepura court, following which Tips Films released the film’s trailer on May 23. The trailer was to have been released on May 21 but following the status quo order of the Madhepura court, Tips Films cancelled the trailer launch at the last minute.

The next date for Bhagnani’s criminal case at Madhepura is June 19.
