BENGALI TV ACTRESS COMPLAINS AGAINST UBER DRIVER | 12 July, 2019

Bengali TV actress Swastika Dutta was allegedly threatened, pushed and forced off an app cab on 10th July while she was on her way for a shooting from her resi­dence in Calcutta. The police registered an FIR against the Uber driver, Jamshed Hossain (27). He was arrested within a couple of hours of the complaint and was booked under IPC sections 354 (molestation), 509 (outraging the modesty of a woman), 341 (wrongful restraint) and 323 (causing hurt).

Swastika posted her experience on Facebook, which post was treated by the police as the initial complaint. She alleged that the driver locked the doors of the cab and forcefully rolled up the window.
