A 26-year-old actress and model has lodged a rape and sexual assault complaint against her former boyfriend who is a 34-year-old actor and model staying in NOIDA.
The two met while shooting in 2017. The accused used to travel to Bombay regularly to meet the victim, who lives at Malad in Bombay. He did not reveal to her that he was married. Instead, he allegedly forced her into a physical relationship after promising to marry her. He then reportedly asked her to distance herself from her friends, and wouldn’t let her work with any male actors or models. He threatened and verbally and physically abused her too.
An FIR under sections 376(2)(n), 323, 504 and 506 was registered against the male actor-model.
