Actress and Trinamool Congress MP Nusrat Jahan, who was hospitalised on the night of 17th November in Calcutta for a respiratory problem, was discharged on 18th evening. There were rumours of a sleeping pill overdose but her family has denied them. A family member was quoted as saying that she would resume her normal schedule from 20th. A press statement issued on behalf of Nusrat said that she has a history of asthma.
On 17th, hours before being admitted to hospital, she posted an Instagram message, wishing her husband, Nikhil Jain, a happy birthday.
