The Thane crime branch has arrested a man, Sanjay Bhandari of Bhaskar Nagar, Kalwa, for breaking into the bungalow of late actress Nutan last week and stealing taps fixed inside. Two of his accomplices are on the run.
The police said, around 1 a.m. on 6th February, the trio attacked the two security guards posted at the bungalow and gained entry into the bungalow by removing the tiles on the roof. They fled with the taps. An offence under the Indian Penal Code was registered against the unidentified accused then, with the Mumbra police station.
