Amit Sharma’s Maidaan, starring Ajay Devgan as a football coach, will now release on 13th August, 2021. The film was to have been released in November this year but its long shooting schedule had to be cancelled due to the coronavirus lockdown. The film’s producers — Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta — have now announced the new release date for the film which co-stars Priyamani, Gajraj Rao and Bengali film actor Rudranil Ghosh. It is based on a screenplay by Saiwyn Quadros, and has dialogues by Ritesh Shah.
