The News Broadcasting Standards Authority (NBSA) yesterday (8th October) directed four television news channels — Aaj Tak, Zee News, India TV and News24 — to apologise for airing misleading content pertaining to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. NBSA also imposed a fine of Rs. 1 lakh — the highest possible under its rules — on Aaj Tak. The other three news channels were let off with directions to air apologies, and warnings.
Republic TV is not a member of the NBSA.
