A sessions court in Bombay rejected the anticipatory bail plea filed by the managing director of Sony Music, Rajat Kakkar, in connection with fake profiles on social media. Investigating officer Sachin Waze told the court that Kakkar failed to appear before the police despite several summons. According to the Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU), Sony’s social media platforms allegedly indulged in malpractices to increase the number of views and likes. The court adjourned the matter to January 27.
