ASHISH KAUL SERVES POLICE STATION NOTICE FOR COMPLIANCE IN COMPLAINT AGAINST KANGANA RANAUT | 18 March, 2021

Author Ashish Kaul’s advocate yesterday (March 17) served the Khar (Bombay) police station a notice for compliance in his complaint no. MECR 01 of 2021 dated 12th March, 2021. The notice seeks an update on Kaul’s complaint against Kangana Ranaut for allegedly stealing from his book, Didda: The Warrior Queen Of Kashmir, for making her film, Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda. The complaint was registered with the police station on March 12, 2021. Ashish Kaul’s notice seeks information on whether any notice had been served on the actress under section 41/41(a)(1) or any other related sections of the Criminal Procedure Code of 1973.

Says Kaul, “We are still unclear on the progress of the complaint despite visiting the police station almost daily till 15th March.”
