Actress Sambhavana Seth has served the Jaipur Golden Hospital in Delhi a legal notice for medical negligence, lack of proper care and attention, and non-responsive behaviour. Her father, S.K. Seth, was admitted to the hospital on 30th April, four days after he tested positive for COVID-19. She has alleged that his hands and legs were tied without reason, that he was put on oxygen support despite his saturation level being between 90 and 96, and that he was not attended to by any doctor. Sambhavana has also said in the legal notice that although one doctor in the hospital told her (when she reached Delhi, after her brother informed her of what was happening) that her father’s condition had improved, he told her moments later that he had suffered a cardiac arrest and that they were trying to revive him. After that, the family was informed that he had died of a severe attack.
