The Film and Television Producers Guild of India Ltd. president Siddharth Roy Kapur and vice president Manish Goswami will hand over 5,000 Covishield vaccines to the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) so that it can innoculate its members and their spouses. The aim is to cover the maximum number of film industry workers in the shortest possible time so that the industry can come on track as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, producer Aditya Chopra has started the vaccination drive for film industry workers, ushering in hope that the industry will restart soon. The leading producer-director-studio-owner has opened the doors of his sprawling Yash Raj Studios for the vaccination drive which seeks to innoculate around 3,500-4,000 workers in the first phase. The aim of Yash Raj Films is to innoculate 30,000 registered members of the FWICE. YRF had administered vaccines to its employees and crew members in an earlier drive it the Studio premises.
