The Goregaon (Bombay) police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against four persons, including a female television actor, for allegedly running a ‘Mohit Bachao’ (‘Save Mohit’) campaign that claimed that his life was in danger. Actor Mohir Raina had moved the magistrate’s court against the campaign. The police registered the case under IPC section 384 (extortion) on June 6 against Mohit Raina’s self-proclaimed well-wisher (the TV actress) and her three friends, on directions from the court. No arrest has been made. A probe is on.
