The Bombay crime branch on 18th August arrested a 32-year-old woman for allegedly pushing two women — a TV actress and another who is a model — into the flesh trade. On a tip-off, the police sent a dummy customer. They arrested the lady pimp, and rescued the actress and the model. They were taken to the Santacruz police station. The pimp was booked under the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA).
