Girdhar Duseja, ex-manager of Shringar Films, passed away yesterday (27th September) in Bombay due to pneumonia. He was 76. He had been admitted to a hospital at Mulund, where the end came.
People in Naaz building, which houses most of the distribution and exhibition offices, would remember Girdhar ji as an extremely warm and congenial person. They used to often respectfully address him as ‘Dada’. Before Shringar Films owned by the Shroff brothers — Shyam and Balkrishna — Girdhar Duseja used to work as an accountant in Gobindram Naaomal & Sons, also an enterprise of the Shroffs. In fact, he served only the Shroffs all his life. Balkrishna Shroff told Information, “Girdhar ji was much more than a manager. He was an integral part of the Shringar family. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”
