IMPPA’S POLICE COMPLAINT: FWICE RETALIATES | 9 December, 2021

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees has condemned the “false and bogus” accusations made by the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association against it (FWICE) regarding the former’s housing project for its members. The IMPPA had filed a police complaint against the FWICE, saying that the latter had not acquired any land for building low-budget houses for its members, as claimed by it, and was fooling them. However, the FWICE has claimed that it is, in fact, building low-budget houses near Karjat.

The FWICE has demanded an apology from the IMPPA for defaming it. It has also said that the false complaint was filed because the FWICE had complained to the Labour Commissioner against those producer-members of the IMPPA, who owed huge monies to the worker-members of the different association-members of the FWICE.
