A die-hard fan of actor Nagarjuna has built an Annamacharya temple after the star’s successful Telugu film Annamayya (1997). The fan, who hails from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh, laid the foundation stone for the temple in 1997 after watching Annamayya, and he completed the construction recently. In other words, it took him 25 years — and Rs. 1 crore by way of contributions from fans, followers and residents of Guntur — to build the temple which has been named Sri Annamayya Swamy Mandiram.
