ADIVI SESH PLEDGES TO START FUND FOR ARMY ASPIRANTS | 8 June, 2022

Adivi Sesh, writer and hero of Major, announced at the press conference held in Bombay on June 8 to thank the media and audience for the love they’ve shown to the film, that he would start a fund in the name of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, to provide money to CDS (Combined Defence Services) and NDA (National Defence Academy) aspirants. The film is a biopic of NDA Major Unnikrishnan who died while fighting the terrorists of the 26/11 attacks in Bombay city in 2008.

Sesh remarked that many people desirous of serving the nation by joining the CDS or the NDA neither know how to apply for the examinations for the same nor do they have money to buy textbooks and guides. The new fund, he added, would help such aspiring students realise their dream. The actor said, he would initiate the fund by personally contributing to it. He added, he would bring on board the fund his friends, family, co-workers and co-actors so that Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s legacy becomes one of the most sung legacies rather than unsung.
