Lawrence Bishnoi, an accused in the murder case of Punjabi rapper-singer Sidhu Moose Wala, reportedly admitted during a recent investigation that he had plotted to kill Salman Khan in 2018. He added that members of his Bishnoi community would not forgive the actor unless he apologised for killing a black buck during his stay in Jodhpur for the shooting of Hum Saath-Saath Hain. The Bishnoi community considers black bucks as sacred.
Sampat Nehra, a key member of Lawrence’s gang, had gone to Bombay a few years ago with the intention of killing the star. Nehra had also revealed the murder plan when he was arrested in 2018. A rifle had been seized. It is believed that the rifle was purchased for eliminating Salman. The Delhi police had earlier confirmed that two attempts on Salman’s life were made in 2018-19.
Just days after Sidhu Moose Wala’s killing in May this year, Salim Khan had received a letter threatening to kill him and son Salman. The Bombay police confirmed that the Bishnoi gang was involved in the threat letter. Earlier this month, Salman Khan’s lawyer in Jodhpur alleged that he (the lawyer) received a death threat from the same gang. An FIR was filed. Investigations to understand the authenticity of the letter had begun in right earnest.
