The Bombay high court on January 24 was informed that no coercive steps would be taken by the police against actress Rakhi Sawant till February 1, in a case where she has been accused of using an objectionable video in a public event. An oral statement by additional public prosecutor S.V. Gavand on January 23 that no coercive action would be taken against her nor would she be arrested till the next date, was continued by him on January 24.
Actor Sherlyn Chopra, who filed the complaint against Rakhi, was present in the high court. Her advocate sought time for filing intervention application to oppose Rakhi’s pre-arrest bail plea. The matter was, therefore, adjourned.
