IFFI CLOSING CEREMONY HELD | 30 November, 2023

The 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa concluded on 28th November with performances by music director Amit Trivedi and Ayushmann Khurrana. A total of 270 international and Indian films, including 25 feature and 20 non-feature films, were screened. Fifty films were premiered at the festival. The National Film Development Corporation introduced its first digital collectible project at IFFI, which allows film enthusiasts to collect the IFFI Digital Collectibles series.

Persian film Endless Borders won the Golden Peacock for the best film in the competition section. The Silver Peacock for the best actor (male) went to Pouria Rahimi Sam for the same film while the Silver Peacock for the best actor (female) was bagged by Melanie Thierry for Party Of Fools. The Silver Peacock for the best director went to Stephan Komandarev for Blaga’s Lessons. Rishab Shetty bagged a special jury award for Kantara. When The Seedlings Grow won the award for the best debut feature film of a director. Panchayat 2 won the first ever award for the best web series. The ICFT-UNESCO Gandhi medal went to Drift by Anthony Chen. Hollywood star Michael Douglas was honoured with the Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement award. It was presented to the actor by Ayushmann Khurrana.
