LATEST POSITION | 14 June, 2025 ‘HOUSEFULL 5’ COLLECTIONS DROP FAST & FURIOUSLY AFTER FIRST WEEKEND

Housefull 5 took an ordinary start last week in the first few shows of the day but collections picked up thereafter so that the day closed at a decent number — Rs. 21.25 crore. Collections on Saturday picked up because of the Bakr Eid holiday; the day closed at Rs. 28.50 crore. The total for Sunday was Rs. 29 crore. After an impressive weekend total of Rs. 78.75 crore, the drop in collections from Monday onwards was so marked and so fast that it was clear, the film was not being unanimously appreciated. Collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 10 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 8.25 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 7 crore, Thursday – Rs. 6 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 31.25 crore. In this way, the first week’s total was Rs. 110 crore. The A version did far better than the B version. Of course, the A version was released in 70% of the cinemas.

Thug Life (dubbed) bombed in the first week. Its collections were pathetic.

Karate Kid: Legends (dubbed and the original English versions) crashed in the second week. It netted only Rs. 1 crore in 2nd week, taking its grand total for 2 weeks to Rs. 7.95 crore.

Bhool Chuk Maaf collected around Rs. 3.70 crore in the third week. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 40.70 crore. However, if the block (corporate) bookings of the first two weeks are taken into account, the total for 2 weeks was Rs. 64.70 crore.

Lilo & Stitch (dubbed and the original English versions) added only Rs. 0.80 crore to its kitty in 3rd week. Therefore, the grand total for 3 weeks was Rs. 6.35 crore.

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning (dubbed and the original English versions) collected approximately Rs. 4.50 crore in the fourth weekend, and another Rs. 1.60 crore during the weekdays. Therefore, the total for 4th week was Rs. 6.10 crore. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 106.96 crore.

Final Destination: Bloodlines (dubbed and the original English versions) fell more than 60% but still did fair in 4th week. It started the fourth weekend with a take of Rs. 0.34 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday more than doubled so that the day closed at Rs. 0.77 crore. The total for Sunday was Rs. 0.83 crore. After a fourth weekend total of Rs. 1.94 crore, collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 0.28 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.32 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.27 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.25 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 1.12 crore. In this way, the total for 4th week was Rs. 3.06 crore. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 59.31 crore.

Raid 2 is in its last lap now. It added only Rs. 1.60 crore to its kitty in 6th week. Grand total for 6 weeks: Rs. 160.60 crore.

Jarann (Marathi) did fairly well in the first week all over Maharashtra.

Brahm (Gujarati) continued to weave its magic in 3rd week in Gujarat and Saurashtra.
