SSS Films International-333’s 3 Shyaane (UA) is the story of three young people who want to become rich overnight.
Aryan (Dev Sharma), Vicky (Nishant Tanwar) and Kunal (Kunal Singh Rajpoot) are friends who make a living out of fooling and cheating people. One day, they get lucky when Aryan and Vicky run away with a bag containing Rs. 10 crore belonging to Digambo (Tiku Talsania) who runs the business of begging. The two friends give the bag to Kunal for safe custody. However, Kunal is soon arrested by the police who also confiscate the money from him.
Suddenly, Aryan’s mother (Zarina Wahab) suffers a heart attack. The total expenditure for her bypass surgery is estimated to be Rs. 10 lakh but the two friends are unable to arrange for the funds. Finally, Rahul (Priyanshu Chatterjee), who is the husband of Aryan’s friend, Shreya (Arjumman Mughal), arranges for the finance from Shreya’s businessman-father (Mukesh Khanna). Aryan and Vicky learn their lesson and turn over new leaves.
Anees Barudwale has written a story which is silly — and that’s putting it mildly. His screenplay is one of complete convenience and totally devoid of conviction. The drama moves in such a predictable fashion that one can guess the ending even before the climax starts. What happens to Kunal in the end is not even revealed. Perhaps, the writer assumed that the audiences would draw their own conclusions! Anees Barudwale’s dialogues are dull.
Dev Sharma is so-so as Aryan. Nishant Tanwar is okay as Vicky. Kunal Singh Rajpoot does an average job as Kunal. Anupriya Laxmi Katoch is not too impressive as Aryan’s girlfriend, Simran. Aarti Gupta is too ordinary to be true in a tiny role as Vicky’s girlfriend, Sania. Priyanshu Chatterjee does well as Rahul. Arjumman Mughal is alright in the role of Shreya. Tiku Talsania is entertaining as Digambo. Asrani has his moments as Durgadas. Rakesh Bedi makes his presence felt as Mishra. Mukesh Khanna leaves a mark as Shreya’s father, Raheja. Zarina Wahab is alright in a very brief role as Aryan’s mother. Himani Shivpuri is okay as the wife of Durgadas. Girish Sachdeva, Harshita Kashyap and Jay Mishra lend routine support.
Anees Barudwale’s direction is terribly weak. Music (Vikram N Vikram) and lyrics (Vikram Tanha) pass muster. Chinni Prakash’s choreography is so-so. Background music hardly deserves special mention. Bharat R. Parthasarathy’s camerawork is dull. Mukhtar Ahmed’s action and stunts are poor. Surjeet Nanda’s production designing, and Sunil Singh’s art direction are functional. Editing (Rajeev Singh) leaves a lot to be desired.
On the whole, 3 Shyaane is a weak fare and, therefore, has bleak box-office prospects.
