ACTOR AMIT MISTRY DEAD | 23 April, 2021

Actor Amit Mistry passed away this morning (23rd April) in a hospital in Bombay due to cardiac arrest. He was in his mid-forties. Amit was a very promising actor and had a bright future ahead of him. He had acted in films like Shor In The City, Yamla Pagla Deewana, 99, Ek Chalis Ki Last Local, Kya Kehna! and Gujarati film Bey Yaar. His comic sense of timing in Raj-D.K.’s A Gentleman had come in for a lot of praise. Besides films, he had also acted in TV serials and web series Bandish Bandits.

Amit had participated in the shooting of Ramesh Taurani’s under-production film, Bhoot Police, in November last year and then again in January this year. “It’s so sad that he is no more,” said a crestfallen Ramesh Taurani. Abhishek Jain, who had directed Amit in Bey Yaar, told Information, “The news of his sudden demise came as a shock to me. He was such a jovial person and such a fine actor.”
