Actor and fitness expert Sahil Khan, who was among the top in the list of suspects involved in a betting case related to the Mahadev betting app and its promoters, Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal, appeared before the Bombay crime branch and recorded his statement on April 13. The Bombay police had registered an FIR and set up a special investigation team (SIT) to probe 32 accused allegedly involved in gambling and committing a fraud of Rs. 15,000 crore.
Since then, the police had summoned Sahil and three others to join the investigations. However, Sahil approached the Bombay high court to quash the FIR and he sought anticipatory bail.
