Malayalam film actor Shine Tom Chacko’s father, C.P. Chacko, died on the spot when a car in which he and his family members were travelling rammed a truck near Palacode in Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu on the morning of June 6. The actor sustained a fracture in his left hand in the accident.
The actor and his family members were travelling to Bangalore from their home in Thrissur (Kerala) for his father’s medical check-up. The car was being driven by Shine’s manager, Anis, who is said to have been overspeeding. Unable to control the car, Anis rammed the truck which was moving ahead of it when it tried to take a left turn. The front portion of the car was mangled.
Shine, his brother, mother and manager sustained injuries. The injured were admitted to the Dharmapuri Government Medical College Hospital.
