Actors Rana Daggubati, Venkatesh and two more members of their family have been booked for trespassing into a businessman’s property and demolishing his restaurant at Film Nagar in Hyderabad. The complainant, Nanda Kumar, who is the owner of Deccan Kitchen restaurant, said that the Daggubati family members tried to forcibly evacuate him from the property.
Following directions of a local court, the Daggubati family members were charged with house trespass, house trespass after preparing to cause harm or commit other criminal acts, and lurking house trespass or house-breaking by night after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint.
It may be mentioned here that Nanda Kumar is an accused in a 2022 MLA poaching case. He was arrested for allegedly attempting to lure four leaders of the then ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), formerly Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), to join BJP in return for money. His property was in the spotlight when municipal authorities tried to demolish it while he was in jail.
