Actress Chrisann Pereira, who was allegedly framed in a drugs case in the UAE, was cleared of all the drug charges by the Sharjah court on June 13. She will fly back to Bombay shortly. The court, which was waiting for the FSL report since April when she was released on bail, has set her free.
Her passport had been seized by the Sharjah authorities who will now be returning it to her. Meanwhile, the Bombay crime branch had arrested baker Anthony Paul and his accomplice, banker Rajesh Bhobhate alias Ravi earlier this week for allegedly orchestrating a fake audition for a web series in Sharjah, and planting drugs on Chrisann on April 1 over some past grudge.
