A court in Alipore (Calcutta) has asked the police to probe a company allegedly linked to actress and Trinamool Congress MP Nusrat Jahan which has defrauded potential flat owners of Rs. 5.55 lakh. BJP MP Sankhudeb Panda had complained to the Enforcement Directorate against Jahan and demanded her resignation and arrest.
Nusrat has denied the allegations and said that she had resigned from the company, Seven Sense International, in 2017. The Alipore court had summoned the star-MP but she failed to appear.
