The Bangalore Central Crime Branch (CCB) has booked Kannada film actress Ragini Dwivedi and 11 others, including Vivek Oberoi’s brother-in-law, for their alleged role in the use of banned drugs in the Kannada film industry. Among the eleven others named is Vivek Oberoi’s brother-in-law, Aditya Alva. So far, Ragini Dwivedi and a few others named in the FIR (under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and the Indian Penal Code) have been arrested. Alva, it is reported, is absconding.
Ragini, who was held on 4th September for three days, was remanded today (7th) to further custody of the CCB for five days.
