The actress who had filed complaints of sexual abuse against seven persons, including Malayalam film actor-MLA M. Mukesh and actors Jayasurya and Edavela Babu, announced on November 22 her decision to withdraw the complaints due to “lack of support and protection from the state government”. She alleged that she was made an accused in a POCSO case following her complaints against the Malayalam film actors, and the government did nothing to protect her.
The Muvattupuzha police station near Kochi in Kerala had registered the POCSO case against her based on a complaint filed by her own relative. The actress said, she would give three days for the truth to come out in the POCSO case.
