After Maharashtra, it is the turn of clerics in Uttar Pradesh to demand a ban on Iranian film Muhammad: The Messenger Of God. The Maharashtra government banned the film on 16th July for fear that it might hurt the sentiments of a particular community and create a law and order problem. The film was scheduled to stream in India on an OTT platform from 21st July.
