AKSHAY KUMAR ATTENDS SPECIAL SCREENING OF ‘MISSION MANGAL’ | 24 October, 2019

Akshay Kumar attended a special screening of Mission Mangal on 22nd October at a suburban multiplex in Bombay, held for around 450 kids lodged in civic night shelters. This happened a day after municipal commissioner Praveen Pardeshi visited a civic night shelter at Churchgate in Bombay. The screening was organised by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, for children from various such shelters, on the evening of 22nd October. Not only did the star attend the screening but he also made a wonderful speech on the occasion and interacted with the kids.

Night shelters provide the homeless with a bed and roof for a night, in a safe environment. There are around a dozen civic night shelters where children are housed as well. One such kid, at the Churchgate night shelter, had told Pardeshi that he had never seen a movie in his life, which prompted the civic chief to organise the screening.
